House Rules
House Rules for Your Stay
We want you to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay at our cottage. To ensure a smooth experience for you and future guests, please review and follow the house rules.
1. Septic System:
• In the Bathroom: TP is the only thing you may throwing in the toilet. Please keep all hygiene products, hair, wipes, medicine, trash, and other products out of the toilet and drain. Disposed of them only in the garbage cans.
• In the Kitchen: please keep grease, fats, food solids, and harmful chemicals out of the drain.
• If you perceive an issue with our plumbing, please contact the host immediately.
• In the extremely rare instance that sewage should back up into the cottage, avoid contact with it.
• Following these easy steps will not only avoid septic system issues but will also help ensure an enjoyable stay.
• If damage to the property or its contents is not covered by our insurance, or exceeds the security deposit, the cost to repair or replace will be billed to the guest.
2. Hot Tub
• No loud music or noises louder than a conversation speaking voice when using the Hot Tub.
• No children (13 and under) allowed in the tub unattended or unaccompanied by an adult (21+).
• Hot tub is available for use by guests 24 hours a day.
• Hot tub cover must be fully open during use, and fully closed when not in use by guest/s.
• If you are dirty or grimy please rinse off and clean your feet before entering the tub.
• Please thoroughly dry off before entering the cottage.
• Do not squeeze, throw, or remove sponge turtle the tub, it is keeping the tub clean. Feel free to place it on the filter compartment lid will you’re enjoying the hot tub. Please place it back in the water before closing the lid.
• Please use the hot tub responsibly and have a great time.
• No Food in the hot tub.
3. Cleanliness:
• There are no cleaning services during your stay.
• For makeup removal, please use specifically labeled black towels or complementary cleaning towelettes that have been provided for your convenience and comfort.
• Please remove shoes when you’re in the cottage.
• There are many amenities in the cottage to make your stay comfortable, fun, and memorable. Please use them gently and properly and completely put them away when not in use.
4. Noise, and the Cottage's Grounds:
• All of of our neighbors live here full-time. Quiet hours are between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.
• Noise on the grounds and patio should not exceed a conversational speaking volume.
• If you encounter any issues with our neighbors, please notify us as soon as possible.
• If any neighbor reports excessive noise during quiet hours, your vacation rental agreement could be terminated, and you’ll be asked to leave our property.
• Please don’t venture past the fence to the south, enter the vineyard/farm to the east, the garden patch to the west, or the brown and white house to the north. Following these guidelines should keep you on the cottage’s property.
5. Extra Guests and Visitors:
• No house parties allowed.
• Any gathering on the patio and/or yard in front of the cottage is restricted to 8 people total. The gathering must remain outside, and must comply with the rules regarding noise. Primary Guest/s must be present at all times.
• Visitors must leave the property by quiet hours.
• No unregistered overnight visitors are allowed, any violation and renters will be charged an extra fee and asked to leave the property without a refund.
• Visitors must comply with house rules, guests will be charged for any damage or house rule violations caused by visitors.
• It is the responsibility of the guest/s to ensure that any visitors also comply with House Rules.
6. Outdoor Amenities:
• The patio and lawn in front of the cottage out to the wood fence are available for guests to use.
• The Grill is available for use by the cottage guests, and there is a backup propane tank in the garage.
• The outdoor dining table and chairs are for the use of cottage guests.
• Bolo Toss, Cornhole, Croquet, and Baci games are located in the garage. The basketball hoop to the west and horseshoe set up behind the cottage to the north are available for the use of cottage guests. Please clean up and put away any equipment when not in use.
• Guests are welcome to use the patio firepit, and the newspaper and firewood in the garage are for that purpose.
• Firepit must not be moved closer to the cottage or removed from the patio.
• Firepit Fires must not be left unattended and must be extinguished before guests retire to the cottage for the evening.
7. Parking:
• Please park vehicles on the cottage's paved parking slip or in the cottage garage.
• Guests are welcome to park in the garage. Bikes or other recreational equipment brought by renters can also be kept in the garage during your stay.
• Please do not park within 10 ft. of the cedar-shingled shed at the end of the cottage driveway.
8. Safety/Security:
• We are pro-family but the cottage is not child or toddler proofed. Guests must use good judgment and supervise younger children (1-12 years old) to avoid any injury and/or property damage.
• Children should be supervised by an adult renter on the property at all times.
• Guest with children, if there are items that you are concerned about your child damaging you may place the item of concern on the shelving in the garage.
• Guests are responsible for the safety of their children at all times.
• Hosts are not responsible for theft or lost items.
• In the event of rain or high winds, please close the patio umbrella and store it in the garage.
9. Smoking, Vaping, and E-cigarettes:
• Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are not permitted anywhere inside the cottage.
• Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are allowed on premises if done outside and 15 feet from the cottage; renters are responsible for the safe disposal of any waste to avoid potential fires or mess.
10. Pets:
• Unfortunately, no pets are allowed on the property.
11. Appliances and Kitchen Amenities:
• All appliances and pantry goods are provided to make your stay more comfortable and easier.
• Guests are welcome to use any of the appliances and pantry items, but please use them only for their intended purpose and don’t overload them.
• Before going out, please double-check that you have switched off all the lights, propane, or other electrical devices.
• Refunds are not given for water, septic, power, gas, internet, air conditioner/heater, water heater, hot tub, or appliance failure/s. If an outage occurs, please call us ASAP.
12. Disposal of Garbage:
• Guests, please dispose of any cooking oils and food waste and trash in the garbage.
• Any clean paper waste, clean plastic waste, and aluminum cans can be placed in the recycling bin.
• Please do not flush any sanitary products, face wipes, or baby wipes down the toilet, dispose of them in a garbage can.
• If garbage cans inside the cottage is full, you can consolidate them into the larger garbage can inside the garage.
• Guests staying longer than a week, on each Monday night before 9 PM, please bring your full garbage bag/s to the east side of the property’s main house (cedar shingle & white house to the north of the cottage), and place your bag/s in the garbage bin with a green lid. Please call if you have questions.
13. WIFI:
• High-Speed Wi-Fi is available for our registered guests.
• Please don't touch the router satellite in the bedroom.
• If there are any issues, please contact the host. Resolving the issue may require the host to access the cottage and the router satellite.

14. Check-out:
• Bedroom bedding can be left in place on the bed or stripped and placed in front of the washer & dryer.
• If sofa-bed was used, please remove and place bedding in front of the cottage's washer & dryer.
• Please put any used linens, towels, and robes used during your stay in a pile in front of the washer & dryer.
• Please rinse/wipe and put any used dishes into the dishwasher and start it.
• Please clean any used cookware/bakeware and put them away.
• Please take any food or drink you've stored in the cottage’s refrigerators, pantry, cupboards, or garage.
• Please put any garbage or recycling in appropriate receptacles in the cottage or cottage garage.
• Please be sure any amenities or items (games, puzzles, etc.) that have multiple pieces used during your stay have been put away.
• Checkout time of 10 AM is firm, departing guests still on-premises beyond checkout time will be charged an additional fee.
• If you checkout prior to 10 AM it would be appreciated if you would notify us.
14. Compliance:
• Failure to follow any of these house rules is a breach of the terms and conditions of your reservation.
• If anything in our House Rules is unclear please contact us.
• We reserve the right to evict any guest or visitor who fails to adhere to House Rules at the renter's expense.
